Pain Getting in the Way of Work? Vehicle Platform Lifts Can Help

As the summer starts winding down, the best time of year is here; harvest season. You have worked tirelessly on the fields of your farm to help provide for your family and now is the time to finally reap the benefits. You wake up early in the morning, ready to take on a full day of honest work. As you are about to climb atop that tractor, the pain from years of backbreaking labor greets you. Climbing on and working with those massive machines can be difficult for anyone. Sometimes, farming can seem like a  just young man’s game…but it’s not. Nothing can replace the value of a love for the land and experience. Don’t let pain get in the way of your passion for life and work.

But What Can I Do?

If you have, for example, serious back issues, you may be wondering, ‘how can I keep working with this pain?’ Working with farm equipment is not for the faint of heart. However, hard work doesn’t necessarily require pain. There are ways to get back out there to provide for yourself and your family. With today’s technology, we are pleased to provide vehicle platform lifts that attach to a combine or tractor to help you get back into the swing of things. This simple addition to your farm equipment can save you stress and discomfort.

For What Can I Use a Lift?

Whatever your need, we have a lift. These lifts can be used for not only farm equipment like tractors and combines, but also for RVs and cars. Browse our website for the different lift options we provide. Farmers are not our only customers. We want to provide assistance to whoever may benefit from our product.

Why Should I Purchase a Lift?

Generally, when you have a back, knee, or any other type of medical issue, the worst thing you can do is put more strain on it. Climbing up your tractor or jumping into your farm equipment multiple times a day can not only make existing injuries worse but can also cause them. According to the CDC, approximately 100 agricultural workers suffer a lost-work-time injury. If you’re already feeling the painful effects of years of farm work, or if you want to avoid potential injuries, a vehicle platform lift may be the perfect solution for you.

Pain and Its Toll on Life

Chronic pain often develops from an injury, easily caused by working—especially when work requires large farm equipment. Chronic pain can be upsetting, frustrating and, well, painful. But pain is not the only symptom. Very often, chronic pain—often in the back—goes hand in hand with depression. When it becomes harder to move around and you’re experiencing constant discomfort, you may grow angry, discouraged, and anxious, which in turn can make you fatigued and unmotivated. Pain is not something that should be taken lightly, especially when it can become a chronic issue. Our products are here to help you lessen or even remove the source of pain that you experience from working that could turn chronic if left alone.

How does it work?

The lift attaches to the outside of the vehicle with mounting brackets, and much like a seat lift, it rises up to the seat of the vehicle, but you stand on it instead of sit. We also offer seating lifts if that is something that appeals more to you and your needs.

Is there a weight limit on the platform?

Our regular lifts are designed to carry a person of 350lb or less, but we want to make your life easier, so if you need one that lifts more, we can likely make that happen. Make sure to contact us so that we can discuss your options.

Are there financing options?

Yes! There are many financing options.

  • If you are a veteran, contact the US Department of Veterans Affairs at hhtp://www.va.gov/
  • The Department of Vocational Rehabilitation or Division of Developmental Services is a possible resource for financing. Contact your local office to learn about your options
  • Contact AgrAbility for information about funding for agricultural vocational rehabilitation
  • Check with your insurance provider if you have health insurance or workman’s comp, to see if they can provide assistance
  • Contact us! We are here for you. If we can help you find any information, whether it be about financing or anything else, let us know. Find our contact info at the bottom of this page
